Here's an intro video (15 mins) to Minecraft and its potential.
Pro tip: Avoid looking for 'answers' before diving into Minecraft as games are systems designed for learning. Which means play and figure it out as you go then ask the questions!

EVO tip: Avoid looking for 'answers' before diving into EVO sessions on gaming, as such sessions are systems designed for learning. Which means jump in and figure it out as you go then ask the questions!

Thanks - very interesting although when you were mentioning visiting the district of Montmartre I couldn't help thinking 'Wouldn't that be better in Second Life'? It's interesting how SL seems to be waning but MC seems unstoppable - I wonder why!?

Unike SL, Minecraft is actually a game. As such it appeals to kids, whom many of our students tend to be. Though you're right, you can get smoother graphics in SL. Another feature is that everyone is a builder in MC, not always so in SL.
