Pro tip: Avoid looking for 'answers' before diving into Minecraft as games are systems designed for learning. Which means play and figure it out as you go then ask the questions!

Reply DeleteExcellent intro, thanks so much for making this for us :-)
Reply DeleteVance Stevens that's usually the Webheads way :) Great intro Jeff Kuhn I didn't have the chance to tell you before! Love the presentation and would love to share some of Filip SmolĨec videos on "How to survive zhe first night in Minecraft" :)
Reply DeleteThanks - very interesting although when you were mentioning visiting the district of Montmartre I couldn't help thinking 'Wouldn't that be better in Second Life'? It's interesting how SL seems to be waning but MC seems unstoppable - I wonder why!?
Reply DeleteUnike SL, Minecraft is actually a game. As such it appeals to kids, whom many of our students tend to be. Though you're right, you can get smoother graphics in SL. Another feature is that everyone is a builder in MC, not always so in SL.
